The Eye Twitch

So a lot of my friends have developed a “twitching eye” in one or the other eye where a nerve somewhere in our eyelids start acting up. Ironically, this “twitch” starts acting up when we’re reaching near the end of our study session right before a test date.

I have it. My girlfriend has it. And at least 6-7 of my friends have all told me that they all have gotten the same twitch while studying for the CPA. Apparently, it takes a really long time for it to go away, too.

Any of you guys develop the CPA Eye Twitch?

    FAR: 50, 76!

    AUD: 65, 91!?

I call this the stress eye twitch and I hate it! However be careful if you start seeing spots see a doctor right away it can be very serious, my friend had it saw spots, went to the doctor and she had to have surgery the next day!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

I used to get this couple weeks before the scores were to be released. One side was my good luck twitching while the other was bad. When my good side was twitching i got a passing score and when the bad side i failed the test. I must say it was really accurate. As weird as that may sound.

So far have not experience any eye twitching with the review but had major one for close to a month while in grad school teaching undergrad courses & making presentations, go figure. At that time was also taking tons of caffeine to stay awake and thought that it could be a culprit among other things.

Cured it by using dry eye gel daily or cure coincided with the graduation and subsequent stress reduction, who knows.

That happens to me when I'm extremely angry, usually at work, and I'm sort of relived to know that this happens to other people! My staff accountants tell me that the eye twitch is an early warning sign that I'm about to explode!!! Ha!

LOL I've gotten this as well, it was the worst when I had those busy spells at work and when I had to deal with a long commute. I would be looking at my face in the mirror and actually see my eye twitching ever so slightly. Happy to say the twitching stopped after I found a place closer to work.

Haha I've had this also. I read that it could be from a magnesium deficiency so I ate bananas for a week lol and it surprisingly worked.

I experienced this for the first time ever a week before FAR. I read online that it could be caused by stress, lack of sleep, or too much caffeine. Well, shoot. In other words, it's induced by the CPA Exam.

I knocked out caffeine from my life, focused on getting more rest, and after a few weeks the twitching went away, only to return last week as REG draws near.

yea as phillip said, it an be due to a magnesium deficiency but also, it is more likely from a calcium deficiency.

it is more likely to happen when you consume caffeine such as coffee.

that is why it is also suggested to add creamer or milk into coffee, the milk serves to counteract the vitamin D deficiency (also it makes the coffee taste better ^_^ )
