I write the PURE formulas for variance, I have a graph that I use for WIP, I am writing down the capital budgeting steps, how to get PV if it isn't given, CAPM, DCF … Those are basically the ones I know. Have to add CRIME/ERM to that list and ICERACE.
I am still studying IT 🙁 my exam is at 1:30pst…

Forgive me, but what do the ICERACE and ISEARAIM stand for? I know CRIME.

What do they call an accounting person, who only managed a 75 on all four parts of the CPA exam....you got it, CPA!!!

I thought the ERM version of CRIME, had CRIME, plus risk response, objective setting, and internal environment? Confused then, why you only have 6 for ERM, and they don't match up with the 8 I am seeing. Sorry, just asking.

Maybe this is common practice, but…

That 10 minutes you get to log in before your test and clock starts?…I use that time to write down all my stuff on the scratch paper. Might as well use their time rather than yours. Just make sure you keep an eye on that timer.

I hate how every review system has their own mnemonics. Gleim doesn't use IS EAR AIM, they use CRIME ROI for ERM and CRIM plus the control environment for IC.

    FAR - 08/30/15 - 90

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

    CPAgal,

Yeah, that's true, but stick with Gleims mneumonics, if you're using Gleim. I am. The man thing, is to remember them.

Yeah, stick to what you know. Also, make sure that you don't blindly memorize the mnemonic and not know what each letter means … I hate mnemonics because of that! lol.

mnemonics don't work if you don't know the material. if you know the material, you probably don't need the mnemonic. just my two cents. i also use gleim and have never used a mnemonic. i would write down break-even and variance formulas.

    REG - 81
    BEC - 83
    AUD - 86
    FAR - 78 (Done!)

Well, Gleim even has mneumonics in their book, for things like COSO, COBIT, etc. Not so much for formulas though.

I would always draw out he Supply and Demand charts to show the demand/supply curves shifting. While these questions tend to be pretty easy, I found that having a general graph drawn out saves me 15-20 seconds per question. When you have 4-5 questions that it's needed for, you can save yourself up to 2 minutes. If you are anything like me, those 2 minutes WILL be needed on the writing section!
