Verizon (#16 on the Fortune 500) has moved most of it's accounting HQ to Lake Mary, FL (Orlando area), and we are looking for CPA's or soon to be CPA's to fill a LOT of positions. I interviewed recently with verizon at Tulsa, I flew from Denver to OK for the interview and met several managers looking to hire talents for their respective teams. I did the interview on Monday, do you have any idea on what the turn around is, as far as feedback and a job offer is concerned?

Salary Range: will vary depending on experience, I think they have the current range at $35k – $55k

Certification/Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MIS, finance, business administration, or closely related field; 2+ years of Auditing Experience (our previous person didn't have this initially so there may be some flexibility here)

Job Description: You can read the official description in the link, but you'll primarily be performing testing over internal controls, transactions, and all the planning, documentation, etc that goes with it. This position also works closely with our continuous improvement group, so while you're in audit mode most of the time, you do still get other exposure.

@Gatorbates are you a Senior Analyst at Verizon? Would you mind ballparking an expected salary range for that position (if you feel comfortable doing so)?

No, I'm a Senior Consultant, which is Mgmt level. The levels we have are (with rough experience requirements):

Analyst – (Green … new to the position)

Sr. Analyst – (about 2-4 yrs experience)

Consultant – (4-6 yrs experience)

Sr. Consultant – (6+ yrs)

Manager – (6+ yrs)

As far as salaries are concerned, I am not sure what analysts/senior analysts make … I'm guessing anywhere between 40-55k (???) Like I said though, not sure … On top of that, there are annual bonuses as well, based on performance criteria.
