They got my birth date wrong – action?

So I found out they put my birth of date as DD/MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY. This most likely has to do with the fact that I have an European driving license & passport, and birth of date on there is DD/MM/YYYY.

What should I do next? Call NASBA or somewhere else?

I am a bit worried they will mess this up somehow, or that they say they are not able to change anything unless I apply again (and loose my score).

    Anyone with experience on this?

Definitely call NASBA. I don't think they would make you apply again or anything like that (clearly their mistake) but the bigger concern is how long will they take to fix it compared to when your exam is scheduled.

I would imagine this is a fairly common issue with international candidates. You should be able to work it out without losing any credit.

My exam is in 2 weeks.. should I just try to do that one? Or should I correct first and risk them not being able to adjust it before my exam? (in that case I loose a flight ticket Europe – US)

I tried to use the search feature up top because its a pretty good resource……

found this post but its 4 years old seems you could do that as long as you use the “incorrect” DOB to retrieve your score.

Maybe you can find a newer post with more updated information

You were able to sit for the last one without any problem. Maybe just wait until after you take your next test and then deal with it?

Yeah I should just go for this one, and then change it afterwards.

I changed my mind… it doesn't seem right to go there any do a second exam under wrong birthdate. What if they tell me later when I acknowledge them, that I should have discovered this after my first exam and told them at that point.

A little risky to change it now though given that they might require some paperwork in order to change this. Do you think they will be able to change it over the phone, or will they require me to send in a birth certificate or something like that? In that case it might not be changed prior to my exam in 14 days 🙁

For the sake of completing this thread:

I e-mailed a “change information request” form to my state (with scanned passport attached), and they changed my DOB immedtiately! (got a reply e-mail within a few hours, on a Saturday)

So no big deal. Back in the game again.
