Well, I failed FAR after try number three and still can’t pass it. Now I only have 3.5 quarters to pass FAR, BEC, and AUD. Doubt has finally shown its ugly face. I was going to take BEC at the end of February, but now I have no idea. I felt like I crushed FAR this time. Am I too stupid to pass this exam? I’ve been studying for FAR since August 2015 non stop. Yet, I failed with a miserable 69. Really no clue where to go from here. It’s been 14 months and I’ve passed one part of this awful exam. Should I just give up? Please help.

try to do audit and bec, in the next quarter buddy!! at least it will give you a good push and motivation to knock out FAR.. And NO, you shouldn't give up, but perhaps try to see what you can change in your study strategy

I found that taking BEC before FAR made understanding the FAR concepts a bit easier. My test order went BEC – FAR – AUD – REG, the concepts built on each other in such a way that it made each test a bit easier than the last.

Normally I'd suggest stick w/ FAR until you pass it, but I am leaning toward AUD and BEC as well. Take one early in the quarter and one late and knock those two out then hit FAR again from the beginning as if you're taking it for the first time.

    BEC - 02/21/15 - 82
    FAR - 05/29/15 - 82
    AUD - 07/09/15 - 93
    REG - 11/14/15 - 80

    All done!!!

Is there any value in looking into getting a tutor?

Maybe the in class CPA review session becker has to offer or another source.

What is your study process like? Not knowing what you did the first time to get a 47 but maybe not even count that since the 2nd time you jumped up a lot.

Really not sure what to suggest since each person is different. Look at it this way. Maybe FAR will be your toughest test. Get it out of the way first and the rest won't be as stressful.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

I hammer out ninja McQ, study ninja notes, review and rewrite journal entries, refer and reread the Becker book…
