I know kasiaS used the pomodoro technique to study. Anyone else having studying tricks to efficiently study?

P.s. kasiaS do you actually do the 25 min rule when you’re solving mc questions? It would feel weird to solve like 10-15 questions and then take a break..I would think one would feel fatigued during the exam where timeis is an issue?

I used to always study for 45-50 minutes and take a 10-15 minute break. Haven't been doing that lately, probably need to get back to it. It helps to give the brain a break for a little while.

Yes, I did use the pomodoro technique for the MCQs too. I gave myself 25 minute slots to solve 20 questions. That really helped my time management on the real exams. During the real exams I averaged just under a minute per question thanks to this kind of practice and I didn't have to sacrifice accuracy for speed. I never had it in me to pound through hundreds of MCQs for hours on and so this helped me. I can tell you that I wasn't fatigued at all on the exam, actually I was relieved when I'd finish the 3rd testosteron and see that I had plenty of time to take a break before attacking the Sims.

Aw shucks. I'm just happy to help. If you use the technique regularly, you'll see an amazing difference in your attention spam and concentration. Over time, I've noticed myself making fewer tick marks on the sheet and I think I get a lot more accomplished in less time. Hopefully it'll work for you as well!

Let me know what you think peanut. im going to use it tomorrow.

KasiaS, do you use the pomodoro technique for work?

and also, did you make any adjustments to the techinque to fit the CPA exam style of studying?

I feel like 25mins is so short of a time to study and take a break. what are your thoughts?
