Thoughts on writing a thank you email after an awkward interview?

There was a lot of nervous rambling and stuttering on my part . The interviewer looked like she was going to fall asleep on me.

I always send a thank you email afterwards, even if it turns out I don't want to the job. You never know where you will be in the future, so doing small things like sending a thank you email could be worth it in the future.

I would just thank the interviewer for their time and maybe clear up any points that you were trying to make during the actual interview. Hope that helps
