Mods, please read the post before deleting! I understand this is a bit of self promotion. But I come to spread good vibes and hope, not spam! Just want to bring a little hope to the accounting world in the midst of busy season!
Hi everyone! Like most of you have or will be doing. I went to a great accounting school, got great grades, kissed just enough ass to get a Big 4 job, and survived a busy season. Throughout that process I discovered that this accounting shit just isn’t for me. I have a passion for tech and startups and have decided to follow that. So after about a 2 years of saving money, learning, and building a app, I have decided to go at it full time and take a shot at making the dream come true.
That’s where you guy’s come in. My startup Blem is raising money in a pitch competition and I need your help! It’s for $5k but my team would actually be funded at least $25k which would be a great boost for us.
The app is a localized social app meant to act as an anonymous feed for local destructible media. So think Snapchat meets Yik Yak.

I know this is self promotion but I also want to make sure all of the dreamers out there stuck in accounting or anything they don’t want to actually be in know that you can take shots. You can do more. Accounting is a great career that can bring many people a lot of money, but if you want to move out you can!
