How long did it take to take the ethics exam?

Also, does anyone know if I am better off taking it after January 1, 2016 so that I do not get my license until 2016 and I will not have to report CPE requirements for 2016?

What state are you in? I heard the Cali ethics exam is a witch with a capital B. But I also hear of people passing the regular (NASBA?) one in just a couple of hours.

I spent about 7 hours going through the slides and took about an hour and a half or so to take the exam, which was 45 questions.

Took me 4 hours – all in.

I took many breaks though as I found it to be extremely boring

In VA, you had to do the entire AICPA Ethics program (no way to do that in 10 minutes) took me about 4 days cause I got so bored with it and then the test itself took about 45 minutes.

took exam online within a couple of minutes. no need to study if you remember AUD Ethics. I felt like they screwed me by sending me a book I didn't need and making me pay for it.

The ethics exam in ca is horrible. I literally felt like I would never pass it. Took 3 tries. Spent about 4 hours each try. I was sure I failed the 3rd time too but passed.

Ohio, and like 3 hours when there was downtime at work? It's nowhere near as bad as the actual exams.

Hey Guys – I'm getting the license in Iowa. I passed the last exam December 2014 – (yeah I know…I needed a break) and I'm just not getting back into the groove of doing the Ethics exam. What's the process for applying for it? What study materials did you use? I don't know why it's so complicated to find information in this exam. Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks!

@Kemy: You will have to call the state board. Most states that require ethics exam use AICPA Comprehensive course (Link below). However, some states do have their own requirements.
