Hi, so the topic is my main questions but here is my situation.

Have becker and ninja notes for Auditing. July has been a bad month for studying because of working late, or family issues. I have completed lecture 1 and 2 of of Becker, and the Becker 1 and 2 homeworks.

My exam is on July 5. As of today I will have 68-92 hours to study before my exam.

    Should i resschedule

BEC: Need to pass, lost creedit.
FAR: Need to pass. MY MOUNT EVEREST
Reg: Need to pass, lost creedit.
AUD:  Need to pass, lost creedit.

BEC: 75 lost credit, could not pass far 🙁
AUD: 76 lost credit could not pass far 🙁
FAR: 74, FML. Next exam 06/14/23
REG: 75 lost credit could not pass far 🙁

Depends on a lot of things. Do you have any other parts passed? Is anything set to expire soon? When does your NTS expire? Are you scheduled for any other exams in July/August? Provide some more info and we can help you better.

And do you have any experience in auditing, or feel generally more comfortable with the subject matter due to recent college courses, etc.?

If not, it doesn't seem like you have much time to get through the rest of the material and have a solid review period.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

    @Bronx

I passed BEC which expires 12/31/2015

    NTS for AUD expires 8/25/2014

Only thing scheduled in July/August is the Becker FAR class. I have that exam scheduled for 10/6/2014

    @kimboroni

I do not have much experience in Audit. I just got put on some audits in my firm but I am a total newbie on them, and what to do. Only thing i know how to do well in Audit is expense testing and vouching.

College classes wont be much help as I took them years ago with a bad professor.

If you're a really good crammer, maybe you can do it. If cramming isn't your thing, you should probably reschedule. Maybe to just later in July. AUD doesn't have a huge amount of material.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

OK–knowing that you don't have anything expiring I would push it back. Attending the FAR class can only help with AUD because of the JE overlap and the fact that several AUD SIMS are actually from FAR material. You're not going to be able to get another test in during the Q3 window (I assume) so why not push it back to the middle of August and give yourself as much of the window as possible to pass it? Then you can finish up your FAR class and take FAR in October and just focus on REG in 2015. It is doable to take on July 5th, but why put that added pressure on yourself. Do it right the first time to ensure that you won't have to retake it. I rushed my first attempt at AUD to knock out two exams close together and you can see from my signature what happened by doing that.

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

    mamabear is awesome 🙂

i agree with her too, i tried to rush my AUD, there's my score…but that was also because i did NOT have FAR under my belt and hadn't done journal entries since like 4 years ago?! freshman year in college. but some people still pass AUD without FAR, i guess it just depends on your luck and what exam you get.

    BEC - 81 4/08/14
    FAR - 80 8/25/14 Thank you Jesus!
    REG - 69 (Nov 14),80 1/08/15 Thank God!
    AUD - 70 (May 14), xx 5/1/15

I definitely wish I was one of those people who got all 4 exams done in 4 months, but unfortunately LIFE (being a newlywed, stress, adjusting to newlywed life and cpa exam study life, as well as starting a job with a Big4 which I am very happy about) got in the way, just happy that I am passing period!!

Same boat as kpb, tried to rush AUD and came up short.

I would definitely reschedule if I were you. I rescheduled FAR for 2 weeks later than originally scheduled, and while I had to pay the fee to reschedule, I would consider it worth it to not have to potentially pay for the exam again and review all over again.

.. You have 68 hours to study your test. I think that's far more than enough to cover the rest of the material. I barely hit 100 hours and I am taking it in mid-July.

Anyhow, I think you should just reschedule it if you can. If it is not too late to reschedule.

For some reason, I could barely find a seat for morning session in the test centers around me. We had 5 test centers here in New York City and 95% of the morning session were already booked. The line goes all the way to mid August! You got to book a month early for a morning session.
