What a rough experience! I felt as though 85% of what I had studied was not on the test. So many of the formulas I had memorized were not tested on my exam and the one or two obscure formulas I did not have memorized were tested. As expected, there was some terminology I was completely unfamiliar with so I had give it my best guess. I feel the WC was easy enough for me as I write business memos on a regular basis at work.

The testlet difficulty seemed it was Medium – Difficult – Medium but it was hard to tell for sure.

    I’m relieved it is over!!!

Can someone tell me how many mcq get thrown out?

    Thanks,

    AUD: 07/11/11 - Passed

    FAR: 01/17/12 - Passed

Yikes, I've got BEC in two days. What study material did you use?

Yaeger/Wiley, Wiley Test Bank, CPAReviewforFree. There were a few topics I feel I was tested on most. However, the questions seemed less direct than the review course materials.

Good luck to you. Let us know how your exam experience was.

I hope you did well Susan. My BEC exam felt like the twilight zone. While taking it, I kept wondering if I were sitting for the right exam.

    AUD - 95, BEC - 85
    REG - 85, Rawrrrrrr FAR - 88
    Used Becker for all sections.

Just returned from BEC. I had the same experience as Susan. There was one question almost identical to a Wiley question, but other than that it was all over the place. It went Medium – Difficult – Medium for me as well. Mix of comps and theory. There were a few little things that I looked over, but I didn't think the test was going to be that detailed. I really have No idea if I passed/failed. WC were reasonable, but it was kind of hard to think straight after being tortured for 2 hours. Susan, I have an idea of what questions you're wondering if they are pretest.

I'm relieved it's over as well, but I will not be boxing up BEC yet. Time to wait and pray

@vern, how did you find preparing for FAR and the actual exam itself with preparing for BEC and the actual exam itself?

Reason I asked is because I found the AUD exam to be similiar to the review materials but I found the BEC review material to be nothing like the exam…. Where does FAR falls?

I am getting nervous now reading these posts. My BEC test is on Tuesday!!! From what I read, Wiley/Yaeger was not very effective. I've been studying Yaeger/Wiley, Ninja notes, and CPA for free. Any other material which is more effective that has worked well for anyone else? Please comment.

I just used Wiley and CPA review for free. I took the exam on Friday and felt reasonably prepared.
