    Hi fellow ninjas,

Took BEC today at 2pm today.

I was not sure if I was prepared; had 2 weeks to prepare after horrible REG exam

What i studied with: Wiley study guide + ninja mcq

Wiley study guide: I just went straight to MCQ with explanation. Covered corporate gov, IT, econ, finance (skipped modules 45-47 performance measures, cost accounting, planning)

Did not have time to go over them…welp

Ninja mcq: did 1105 questions at 16 hour mark.

Topic / number of questions / avg

    Corporate governance / 110 / 75%

    Economics / 235 / 69%

    Finance / 6 (yes, 6) / 83%

    IT / 420 / 68%

    Strategic planning / 196 / 67%

    Operations management / 138 / 67%

    Overall 69%

As you can see, I had to cut corners; a lot of it. I probably spend 30-40 hours… (ninja+wiley = 30 hrs) less than 1 hour for written communication.

    Testlet 1 – medium

It was easy, flagged 2-3 questions.

    Testlet 2 – hard

I can feel difficulty going up. I flagged 6

    Testlet 3 – med/hard(?)

I felt like test was somewhere in between, so I was not sure. I think i flagged 4.

I left 55 minutes for WC.. testlet took me 50 minutes. I did not practice essay but I think I didnt do so bad on them although I was not sure what first one was asking.

Overall I cut a lot of corners, but test seemed easier than I thought. I was not sure about variances but used my educated guess.

I will get reg and bec score together in early May, I hope i passed BEC because I felt defeated after reg. Passing both would be nice, but my gut feeling says no. I was not prepared for reg either. If i fail both, I will have to shoot myself 🙁

Totally agree with you there! I am so brain dead at this point from studying BEC that I am beginning to think it might be more difficult than FAR for me. I have actually prepared the most for BEC, more than I did for FAR and yet I do not feel OK. I felt OK going into FAR but also had realistic expectations that I would not pass on the first try. Luckily I did. I do not think it helps that BEC is my last test, so much more stress and studying because I want to get it done! I would be impressed if you pass BEC with two weeks of studying! Good luck!

BEC was a pain in the neck and I felt no respect for that exam. It took me forever to study for it and it just pissed me off most of the time.

back to the OP, you do know the point if taking the exam is to pass and not just take them for the sake of taking them, right? you might be fortunate and be able to pass without adequate prep but i doubt that strategy will work on all 4 sections. it is your money and time. i'm just saying…
