Took FAR after 100-125 hours of study over 11 weeks.

I felt GREAT, even though my final practice quiz i took 2 nights ago ending in a horrible failing grade and me ending in a ball of tears. I am convinced you are not prepared for a test if you have not found your self in a ball sobbing.

8 weeks until AUD, still working full time and a wife and child who are sick of me studying! That being said, all my family is hugely supportive and proud of me, the only thing keeping me going.

If I can do this, SO CAN YOU!

Proud of all of you who are trudging through this, even if I know nothing about you and your situation…you are awesome!

@tomq04: Hey, I just took FAR on 10/2 as well! Hi Five!!! 🙂

I planned to take it in August, but I chicken out. I thought I wouldn't be ready again this time, but I told myself, a lot of people here has posted in their signature that they failed multiple of times; I might as well fail once just to get the feel of it. Surprisingly, I felt pretty good afterwards. There was just 2 or 3 TBS that I was struggling with at the end. However, at that point, I was kind of falling asleep. My test was at 9 AM.

BTW, I asked when I can expect my grade. They told me sometime in December. O_O; I checked online and they gave a vague Nov. 4 with 11 days after the cutoff…? The wait is driving me crazy! How about you?

    FAR - 62 (10/2/13), 50 (5/30/14)
    AUD - 73 (10/30/13), 66 (5/6/14)
    REG - 69 (4/8/14)
    BEC - 66 (2/27/13), 73 (4/21/14)

I used CPA Excel. This was my 2nd test as I passed REG back in July. The results came in 4 weeks after I took that test, I would expect no different this time.

I literally watched every video and broke a golden rule, no notes. This took me roughly 7 weeks, 1 hour in the morning, 1 in the evening and 45 minutes at lunch ~3 days/week. Then the final 4 weeks I really hit the gas, 1 hour/morning I spent writing NInja Notes and I completed writing those twice. The rest of my study time was spent doing Multiple Choice Questions. I have never been so frustrated in my life as I just couldn't seem to score higher than a 60%. I did activate my free month of NInja Blitz and listened to that the whole way through on this past weekend. Nearly defeated I took Monday night and all of Tuesday off from studying and ensured a good night sleep both nights. Thank God that our 18 month old slept through the night Tuesday night, I woke up at 6 again and went at whooped that tests rear at 8 am in 2 hours flat (i'm a fast test taker…).

I'm up again today at 4:30 starting down the Audit rode, this time I only have 8 weeks so i'm going to go the Video + their true false question route, before eating more MCQs that I can chew whenever I finish those videos.

    LONG STORY SHORT(TLDR):

If you haven't found yourself in a ball in tears, you aren't ready for the exam yet!

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

I'm not sure if I found myself in a ball of tears or not, but I did get a panic/anxiety attack. I believe on the last 5 days before the exam. I had a migraine that just wouldn't go away no matter how much I slept. So I told myself **** it! If I can't sleep, let's just continue studying! 🙂

I began sighing on the last day before the exam. Constantly in frustration.

@tomq04 – Thanks for the additional details. I take FAR at the end of October and am starting to freak out that I won't be able to get through all of the material by then. I think I will have to ease off on all the note taking since it has been holding me back from progressing as quickly as my study planner says I should be going. By the way, I have a 23 month old and a husband that would love it if I could wrap up all the studying by the end of the year.

    Good luck studying for AUD!

Never balled or even remotely come close to crying. But everyone has a different level of emotional stress and expresses it differently. However, I don't have a child, which I'm sure plays a huge role.

Glad you felt decent about your test though.
