Took FAR Today 1/31

    So…..it was my first exam

I’m not really sure what to think about it all. MCQ seemed to get more difficult as I went. MCQ felt okay, nothing great but I don’t think I bombed them either. I actually feel fairly well about the SIMS except for 1 and portions of one other. Research was found nearly word for word.

What does another71 think about this? How did things turn out if you had a similar experience as mine?

    Fingers crossed. The wait begins.

I took mine yesterday and I really don't know how to feel at this point. I'm not sure what we're allowed to discuss, but IFRS and consolidations was not that great for me. I felt I guessed a few times, and I finished an hour early! Surely that means I did bad?! There were some topics I was surprised to see were not touched at all on the exam I got.

On the Sims I don't think I did that well. There were two that I knew how to do, but the rest included some type of guessing. I hate the waiting game.

When I took FAR I felt pretty good about the MCQ and I wanted to cry when I got to the SIMs. Louisiana doesn't give a score report when you pass so I don't know how I did on each but I think that my MQC were just good enough to overcome my horrid SIMs.

@lsutigers03 what is this score report?

@mady_cs if you finished early you had to have known what you were doing…. I finished my practice exams pretty early and did fairly well, but the real exam was another story

Those who have tested, do I need to know the SFAC numbers for the exam?

@delightfullybrowncpa No need to know SFAC numbers for the exam.

@Thestruggleisreal in NYS if you fail an exam they issue you a score report showing on what parts of the exam you did (Weaker, Comparable, or Stronger) relative to others taking the exam during that same time period. Some states issue it is you pass but NYS isn't one of them.

@thestruggleisreal I really hope you're right! I know the score release is not until Feb 28th, but I keep checking everyday. I think I'm going to drive myself crazy.
