Transferring to another state

    Hello,

    I will be accepting an offer shortly for an audit associate position with a Big 4 firm to start in the Fall of 2015. However, about a year after starting, I am looking to transfer to a state where I plan to settle down. Has anyone had any experience transferring to another office location within their firm? Were they accommodating?

    Why did you not ask to be placed in the state you want from the start?

    Because I'm not financially ready yet to support myself on my own, and because I want to study for and get my CPA under my state's requirements before I go another state. I just want to know I won't be trapped here.
