Trouble with SIMs

After 2 rounds of audit, it seems like the simulations are absolutely killing me. I was slightly unprepared for the first round of AUD, but went in guns loaded for round 2, only to fail again. When I got my score report back, I was in the average or above average categories for all of the MCQ sections, but still failed the exam. Any advice on how to study for SIMs? (other than know the material…)

    Thanks friends 🙂

    R - 61, 75!
    B - 80!
    F - 68, 78!! DONE!

On audit always remember you can use the AL and will most likely be able to find answers for the sims word for word. I am positive this is what helped me get my passing score in audit!

As for studying for them just practice them and know the material I know not a lot of help!

    Happy studying!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

I agree with LSNYC. I only did a few practice simulations in my exam preparation (but did ~2500 MCQ). Although I'll never really know, I like to think that the AL saved my behind on that one, because there were 3 sims on my actual exam that I found almost word for word in it. On that note, the key to effectively using the AL is to give yourself ample time to complete the simulations and, of course, give yourself at least a minute to freak out once you see the sims and then regroup and attack them! Good luck 🙂

@rjdub28 – Practice SIMS can be helpful to learn material, but I've not found them to be anything like what is on the exams. Using the AL is an awesome way to get help with SIMS – but only if you are lucky enough to get those types of SIMS. Otherwise, you just have to do your best with what you know.

I see that you have not sat for FAR yet? Some FAR concepts show up in AUD. It could be helpful to understand those areas a little better if you don't already. Other than that, do the things already mentioned – use AL, and know the material.
