Two research questions?

I took Audit yesterday. When I got to the simulations part, two of the simulations were research questions. Has anyone had two research questions and passed? I thought I had read on a prior thread that if you get 2, your chances of passing are low, but I could not find that thread.

I had two when I took AUD in May. I didnt pass, but I doubt it was because of those. I did stronger in SIMS and weaker in MCQ's. I would think if they both count(and not being a pre-test question) they would help your score.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

Thank you. I have had 2 before also, and I did not pass either. I also did stronger in the simulations that time. I was just curious if anyone had passed with 2.

This just happened to me today. Anyone know how to cite the

    I had a question with

too! That is so strange. I ended up finding what I needed (I hope) somewhere else though. It didn't answer it as well as the —- though.

I had two in mine, and I passed. I'm not sure what the reasoning is for assuming two research questions means your chances of passing are low. If you get them both correct and do well elsewhere, it shouldn't matter.

I got two and failed with a 74. I did comparable on the sims and weak on the MCQ. I'm pretty sure I got both of the research questions correct.

    I've received a 73 & 74 before – both with two research q's.

I did not automatically assume anything. I said in my question that I thought I had read that before. Thank everyone for their responses. It doesn't matter, I was just curious what other people's experiences were.

If you get two research questions, it just means that one of them is a “test question” and is not counted. It has nothing to do with your chances of passing.

    Bec: 8/31/12
    Aud: 8/1/12
    Reg: 76
    Far: 73

I'm hoping the research SIM I was unsure of was a pre-test question…and I just realized this, Jeff – if my previous comment violates the CPA exam confidentiality or whatever feel free to delete that.
