    Hi All,

I’m just wondering if anyone has done this route towards obtaining the credits. Will a state like Florida recognize classes taken at UCLA extension as upper division accounting courses? In Florida you need 36 credits upper division accounting courses and as of right now I only have 27.

    Thanks.

    BEC - 2/8/2014 - 79
    REG - 5/17/2014
    FAR - 5/21/2014

I'm planning on using the UCLA ext. once I pass my exam as I need approximately 20 credits

    FAR: April or May 2014
    AUD:
    REG:
    BEC:
    Scared: 100

FAR first and only attempt: 2014 Wiley textbook, 10 Pt Combo, and WTB

I only get one try to have to give it my all and try to get 75 on my first go around.

I am short units for the 150 unit requirement.

Do any of you have experience with the quarter vs. semester system? I see a lot of the UCLA Extension classes are 4 quarter units. I think I calculated that on the semester system a while back and based on what CBA says the equivalency is and it was 2.??, just shy of 3 units. I have to admit the class topics sound interesting and like I could possibly get some valuable knowledge and skills from them. I just don't want to have to take a whole other class because I'm .3 of a unit short…

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

I went through the UCLA extension program. I had to complete 36 quarter units to meet the state requirement of the total 150 units. I had 120 units graduating from college. In my opinion, it was overpriced, however it was convenient. You do not need the accounting certificate (waste of 150$$$). Take the units you need and have them send your transcript to the state board ASAP. Professors understand students are taking the courses to fulfill the requirements and they are very helpful. One of the professors actually emailed all his students encouraging us to form study groups in the area. I personally have not used it, but it is nice to have the contact info if you need it.

I took an accounting course via UCLA extension, but then again I live in California so my experience may not be relevant to you…

    AUD: 88
    BEC: 79
    REG: 81
    FAR: 72 » 74 » 88

Study method: 100% watching videos, including solving problems covered therein; no books, paper, or pencils
