So i test for BEC on the 31st, finished my study lecture videos on the 15th and have been using ninja mcq since… problem is Im not doing well on ninja mcq…

wondering where I should go from here, should I get my notes and begin trying to memorize formulae and ratios or should i pound out mcq until i start remembering them from studying my missed questions….

In the past i have always just pounded out mcq and learned what i needed to know by reviewing the correct answers for the ones i miss… but with all the formulas needed to pass this test, wondering if i should dedicate 3 or 4 days to that instead of just mcq…

I'm in the same dilemma, my average in gleim test bank and wiley test bank is 90% but ninja is really kicking my ass.

I think Ninja is going overboard as far as BEC preparation is concerned, but it is always good to be over-prepared.

    I'm averaging 70% in ninja

I take mine on 31st too!!

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

I am also taking BEC soon. Sounds like you are in better shape than me, but from what I have heard I would make sure you know the ratios cold. Just do flash cards (if you haven't already) with the ratios.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 86
    FAR - 78
    REG -73, 69, 86! DONE

    Bump!!!

No offense to the two posters that have already responded, but i really need some insight from someone who has taken this test. MCQ review, or memorization of formulas?

@dethnode – MEMORIZE FORMULAS. You've got to know them. I also recommend making your own flash cards, charts, graphs…whatever you need to learn/absorb any info you're having problems with. It takes extra time, but I finally did that with REG, and it's been my highest score yet. (I had charts covering an entire wall.) Then go back to MCQs.

    AUD: 84 - Oct. 2013
    BEC: 83 - Feb. 2014
    REG: 91 - May, 2014
    FAR: 68, 96 - Oct. 2014...DONE

if you can reasonably get 15-20 hours in this week and next that is MORE than enough time to get everything caught up. If you're in the 10 hour camp, it might be rough…

Focusing on the formula's will be important, but be sure to hit those questions. I also found that the ninja notes were a great tool with BEC.

People pass this thing with 60 hours total study.

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

thanks going to concentrate on trying to memorize formulas this week, then hopefully have those done by the weekend, then this weekend and all week next week hit mcq

Typically I would say to focus on the meaning behind the formulas. It helps to remember them when you just know what they are trying to do. However, since you are getting low on time, yes memorize the formulas but realize that BEC will twist them around and ask questions from different angles. So really attempt to do what you can to understand them….

Yes definitely memorize the formulas, but I have to agree with the post above that you need to understand how each part of the formula will affect the ratio when they increase and decrease. Also I had a lot of IT on BEC so don't skip that and don't skip the written communication. Tons of points to be made there if you write the answer in the correct format they are looking for.

Write down all the formulas you think are important, and update that list as you continue going through MCQ.

Each day, spend 10-15 minutes 2x/day reviewing your formula list. You'll easily have it memorized backwards/forwards/upside down by the end of the month.

im really really hoping for a lot of IT questions…. I am killing that section in the Ninja MCQ, not to mention my first bachelors degree is in electrical communications systems, so i have a fairly strong knowledge of that area.
