So I passed three my exams (REG left) and my tests start to expire April 7th of this year. I have scheduled REG for the last day of February (March is blackout) just in case I fail and I can have another shot in the first week of April. Now my question is, is this strategy even viable? Lets say if I fail in Feb, will I even be able to take it again in April before my other test expires? How long will it take for me to receive my score back and register again (through the california state board/NASBA)? What is the fastest way to go about this?

    btw this is for California

    Thank you!

I think it is viable, but I don't know the dates of the scores, and how you can schedule with Prometric in time, etc.

Why don't you register now for April the test you think you will fail?

    FAR 91, AUD Feb 2015 (Gleim self-study)

The anticipated score release is either march 7 or 10. CA is a day behind. So worst case scenario you could reapply on 3/13. (I'm assuming that the OP is aware already that you can't just get a 2nd NTS for a pending section so MOD's question about registering now for April is impossible)

It's do able but you may face a challenge finding an open seat at Prometric if you don't get the NTS until mid-late match.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.
