Urgent CPA question about Expiration : Can I register in time?

So I passed three my exams (REG left) and my tests start to expire April 7th of this year. I have scheduled REG for the last day of February (March is blackout) just in case I fail and I can have another shot in the first week of April. Now my question is, is this strategy even viable? Lets say if I fail in Feb, will I even be able to take it again in April before my other test expires? How long will it take for me to receive my score back and register again (through the california state board/NASBA)? What is the fastest way to go about this?

    Thank you!

For how quickly I received my re-application NTS I would says it's possible based on my personal experience. You just might not have a very good selection of testing location/times. If you take your exam at the end of February, you should get your score by mid-February, and I always received my re-application NTS via email within 24-48 hours. If your state works as quickly (I'm CT), you have a chance.

Keep in mind, there's still a week of January left. That's a month to study!! Study hard and hopefully you won't have to worry about retaking it in April.

I agree with k917, however I'm also in CT.

    Good luck!

There is no room for doubt.

@wjun15, take exam in feb, result will be in march, then CA board takes 5 to 20 days to process your application then you have to find a place in first week of April which is easy just travel few miles more if you couldn't find nearby,,,its very much possible but when u re-apply sent application overnight, after 4/5 days if you didn't get ur approval call CA board tell them your story they are very helpful,,,I am sure they will approve within one or two days then you schedule with prometric,,,,but hey just study little bit hard most candidates think they will fail but they pass,,,,,

I think you're cutting it really close. Move up your exam in Feb. if at all possible. Hopefully it won't matter because you will pass!
