My current job guaranteed me a raise once I pass the exam which should be within the next 3 months.

If I get an offer (which I might i’m waiting to hear back) that is greater than my currently salary….

would it be wise to go to my current employer and say hey, I got an offer but would like to stay here if we could talk more numbers etc. ask my boss if they can quantify the raise they guaranteed once I pass etc.

what do you guys think????
