   Hi everyone, I am asking this for my friend, which is kind of urgent.

   My friend has finished all 4 exams, and just recently completed 2 yrs of work experience as well. However, he only has 120 credits, but he wants to move to a state that requires 150 credits for license.

   Hence, we are wondering if he could submit the 2 yrs work experience form and have it filed into that 150 credits state board first, then do a master degree later to meet the 150 hrs for license?

   Will the 2 yrs work exp form ever expire if he does the master degree after a few yrs?

   If your friend is licensed in his/her current state, then I think they nay be able to just transfer their license with them but your best bet is to look on the board of accountancy site for the state where they want to move. For example, in IL they could most likely just register directly. Here's the link:

   I agree with Kasia; however, he will need to still meet the education requirements in the state where 150 credits are required. He should be licensed in the current state and work towards meeting the requirements in another state. If he does not do this, there may be a chance his exam credits may expire as often there is a time limit.

   Hi thx u all for the replies. My friend he is not licensed yet, but we have heard that after completing the 4 exams, there is still a chance for us to change states if we want to.

   Hence, we are wondering for any states (since they all requires 150 credits by year 2014), if we could file in the 2 yrs work experience first and have it on record, then perhaps do the additional education requirements later? Since they don't really care whether ur work exp comes before, after, or during the exams.

   @ Yvonne570: I thought the exam credits last for a life time, but I do know that u have a limited amount of time to register within a state after completion of exams, right?
