I use the Norelco spinning heads. Huge fan. I tried the foil straight across before, wasn't for me. I probably haven't shaven with a real razor in about 10 years. I have here and there for special occasions though.

spinning heads – 100%. I've tried both versions, multiple times with varying qualities. Save the money from buying a better one in the future, and just get him a really good spinning head electric razor. He'll love you long time!

I've used the Norelco spinning head ones all my life & would recommend them. The most annoying part is shaving your neck & throat area, which I imagine the swivel heads do better.

+1 I only have to replace the head once a year. The only time I don't use it is if I get lazy for a week and don't shave, then I have to use the razor

If your husband likes electric razors, then I think that's a great present. I don't personally think I get as close of a shave with an electric as I do with a straight razor…but I sure cut myself a hell of a lot more! I'm sure he'll love it!
