    NINJA Question –

    Hello all,

I am going to be studying BEC shortly using the 10 Point Combo. I noticed that in Jeff’s NINJA Study Framework, he references watching all of the videos or reading the NINJA book and taking notes. What videos should I be watching? The BLITZ videos or videos provided by a third party? The reason I ask is because I do not learn well while reading a book.

    Thanks for your assistance!

He is referencing for those that have video lectures from other review courses. If you have the Ninja book then I would just read that book and take notes. Different people utilize the blitz videos differently. I watch them over and over for sections that I have trouble with. They are more of a high level review so they would make more sense once you have already read the chapter. They help drill down concepts that you have learned.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, that does help. So you'd recommend reading through the book and taking notes while reading? I haven't ordered my Combo yet. Are the books very long? I just don't want to be taking too much time on the books and not enough on the MCQ.

I have only purchased the Audit Book which I am using for my retake. Each section depends on how heavily tested the area is the amount of material under that section. The last time I took Audit I read the wiley book from cover to cover. It was dry and boring and it took some time. The Ninja book I went through and wrote down how many pages for each section. The shorter sections with around 80 pages I am trying to get through in 2 days. It will take time because you are reading and then trying to really understand the material and take notes. I would say budgeting 2 weeks should be enough. Its hard to know because if you have never done it before it will be an adjustment. They do say that reading the book should take less time vs going through the lectures. Once you get your book, I would say make a schedule and stick to it. I do however, work sets of 30 questions for each section once i complete it because I do forget things. And then each day I do a comprehensive from areas I already covered.
