    Hi,

    I have recently passed the CPA exams in state of Virginia. And now I need to apply for the license from them.

    I am confused by the experience verification form. Some of my friends told me that it needs to be signed by an licensed/active CPA of the employer while the board told me that it only needs to be signed by my boss/supervisor. I don’t know if anybody has any ideas about that. I will be greatly appreciative if you can share you thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.

    Congrats on passing the exam from a fellow Virginia resident! πŸ™‚ From what I understand, the verification form has to be filled out by your boss/supervisor, who in turn needs to be a licensed CPA in Virginia.

    Hey,

    Even I am a VA Candidate.I also passed my CPA exam and looking for Licensing procedure,Is it compulsory to apply for License because I am on a visa here in US so currently I am unable to work.

    Yes even I spoke to VBOA and they said the experience letter can be signed by your supervisor/manager,need not be Licensed CPA

    I was looking more at getting a CPA certificate so that I can have it as a proof that I passed CPA exam. But sadly VBOA does not even send a Congratulatory letter after passing the exam πŸ™

    Also when you get Licensed you have to fill in the CPE requirement and all. I dont even have a job yet.

    I know that there are some state that do give CPA certificate/Non Reporting License but dont want all the hassles later on of transferring and stuff like that.

    Lets see right now I am happy that I passed

    FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards
    REG -72-->Becker ,76-->Becker plus Wiley test bank
    AUD- 73 Becker,72-->Becker+Wiley,69-->Added ninja notes,89 --> Added Gleim review
    BEC- 84 Becker plus Wiley Test bank

    I am Done !!!!
