I’m planning on taking AUD early April for the second time. Should I wait to study for my next part (FAR) until I find the grade of AUD that way if I don’t pass I can re-take the AUD exam and not have wasted time studying for FAR?

    Thanks for any/all help.

    AUD: 73, 4/14
    FAR: TBD
    REG: TBD
    BEC: TBD

Yep. That's what I did. I never moved to the next section until I received a passing score on the most recent section (except for the one time when I was facing a passed section expiring)

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

I don't move on until I make sure I passed, but I usually schedule my test as close to the cutoff date before release so I only have to wait one to two weeks before I know my score. If I fail, I start studying again. If I pass I move on.

I am in the same boat. Didn't plan well I guess. Taking FAR on April 3rd (score released by May 5th) and scheduled for BEC on May 29th (score released by June 9th). If I fail FAR, I can't take it in same window so I may as well study for BEC and take it on May 29th. What I might do is not check my score at all until am done with BEC (but we all know it's a lie)

    Cracked,

In same situation…taking FAR for a 3rd time in April and sitting for AUD in May…going to try and push through and not look at FAR score (psh)

    CPA, CFE
CISA- Experience will be completed by August 2016

I'm experimenting. I tackled AUD first before even thinking about anything else, just see what happened. I really had no idea if I could pass or not. My plan was to take it again as soon as possible if I didn't pass and keep trying AUD until I pass.

Once I knew I passed AUD, I scheduled both FAR and REG. I'm giving myself 7 weeks to study for FAR, then I wait 2 weeks for my score, which is a scheduled study break. Waiting for a score is really distracting. I have a few days to settle down after finding out my FAR score, and then I have 7 weeks to study for REG.

If I don't pass FAR, I think I'd probably reschedule REG so I can take FAR instead– it would be right at the start of the new window. Then do REG near the end of that window. My NTS lasts just long enough, I think.

We'll see how that plan works out.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

It really depends on your plan. I developed a plan before I started studying of the order and general timing of the exams. My plan from the beginning was to take each test once, reevaluate and go from there. I felt it was important for me to a take a break from an exam if I failed it, because if I failed 2 or 3 times in a row, I'd get psyched out and wouldn't study as well. It takes some of the indecision out of the time between exams, because I know that I better get studying for my next exam in 5 to 7 weeks so I can perform well on test day. But, if your plan is to pass an exam before advancing to the next exam, get after it and follow through. I don't know if either was is better or worse, but I do think it's important to formulate a plan of attack and stick with it, whatever that may look like for you.
