Want to retake my fail, but don't want to lost my NTS for the rest….

    Alright, so here’s the deal. As you see below, I have to take FAR again (FML). I was totally groovin’ everyone’s advice to get it out of the way ASAP and was planning on taking it in the next testing window. However I looked at my NTS today and I have to sit for BEC and REG before 8/25. I’m a little worried about having enough time to effectively study for my remaining and take two months or so to nail down FAR. I’m a slow learner and work 40-50 hours a week.

    So basically, I don’t want it to come down to the wire and I have to blindly sit for a section because my NTS is expiring. This whole process is hurting my wallet already and I think it cries more than I do when I have to pour more money into it.

    So would you guys suggest I tackle the rest of the exams before getting my NTS for the retake (playing it safe and possibly having to forfeit the little knowledge I took away from last study session) OR try to get FAR out of the way and then try to knock out the other two before the clock ticks down (possibly recall a bit from the last round and push the knowledge I have yet to obtain closer to the wire)

    Thanks everyone! Happy studies!

    @Hustlin

    Sorry to hear your news on FAR. Good question, I have gone both ways on this one myself. I could make an argument for getting back on the horse for FAR, but then again, it really sucks to lose an NTS. When that happened to me, I stayed with my retake, and instead of just losing the NTS, I just went and took the exam as a fact finding mission. What did I find out? That REG sucks. LOL! Seriously though, I would stay with FAR and try and benefit from the knowledge base that you already have. I failed BEC and then went to FAR because of the timing of the Becker live class, and in retrospect, I think it would have been better for me to finish BEC first before moving on. Hope that helps! I see you have Audit around the corner, kick some Audit @ss!!!!

    Best of luck to you!!
