@komatik2 congrats! did you have to provde the congratulatory letter with the package? i have not received mine yet, though i should have received it by Jan 15. and NASBA was late in sending my exam score to Washington, that may be causing the delay in my case

Just an update on a WA license application timeline.

I completed the online application today at around 10:30 am and was approved at about 6:00 pm (all UTC -5). I'm officially a CPA!

@Chrissy CONGRATS! 🙂 I'm waiting for my last 2 scores but am trying to get ready so hopefully I can do a quick turnaround once I find out. I was wondering, would I need to re-submit my college transcripts again when submitting my application. I already submitted them to take the exams but it has already been a year and I know they get rid of any documents after a year. I've emailed the board but figured I'd just ask here.

It seems like I wouldn't need to since I wouldn't be able to take the exams otherwise, but I read other states required it again.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Whiskers

    First of all, thank you!

Second, unfortunately, I'm not sure about that procedure because I transferred my scores from another state but they respond really quickly to emails and are very helpful when you call.

Hope this helps. Hope your last two scores are positive and that we can all call you a CPA soon as well!

I hope so too (fingers crossed)! Thanks for the advice, will call them in the next day if I don't get an email response!

    @whiskers

People have been getting licensed at my firm lately (in WA state) and no you do not need to resubmit transcripts. That is only to get approved to sit. You just need to upload pdfs of the WA state ethics exam cert, AICPA ethics exam cert, experience affidavit, and professional resume. Plus pay the licensing fee obviously.

I have until November before my one-year of experience…. waiting patiently…..

    REG - 92 (1/17)

    BEC - 82 (2/17)

    AUD - 89 (5/17)

    FAR - 94 (9/17)

Rogers Elite + Becker mcqs/sims for all 4 exams

    WA State Ethics Exam - 83, 83, 90 (9/17)

    AICPA Ethics Exam - 95 (9/17)

    1-year of work - complete (11/18)

    Hi @Superdude3000

Thank you for the info! That's exactly what I was thinking would need to be uploaded but just wanted to make sure.

I just heard from the board via email requesting that I resubmit my transcripts as they could not find them anymore in the system. Still doesn't make sense to me why I would need to resubmit it since they already reviewed it to even take the exams. Think I'll call them today and see if I can get another verification. I'll post back once I confirm in case anyone is wondering.

Before you know it Nov will hit and you will be licensed! Congrats on getting through the roughest parts! 🙂

Yeah that's really weird. Especially since NASBA is the one who takes the transcripts, not the board.

I called the WA board today and they said I don't need to re-submit my college transcripts when I submit my CPA license application. Thank goodness!
