I’m sure I looked like a ghost walking out of prometrics. Just took my first exam a few days ago and it was pretty bad. Heres the breakdown of my thoughts

Testlet 1: Super easy and had maybe 2-3 flagged; stayed in my 45 minute time budget

Testlet 2: Harder and took me way too long.

Testlet 3: Still hard, still took me way too long; only left myself 1 hour and 15 mins for sims :X

Sims: WTF. I skimmed through to find something I felt comfortable with…LOL. That didnt happen. They were nothing like what I was prepared for. I just started. The only one I felt confident on was the research sim which was very similar to a becker research sim I had. One I know I got 100% wrong, so PRAYING that was the fake sim otherwise there is no hope for me to pass. One I got less than 50% right because I really only had time to classify information, not put in the actual numbers correctly.

Anyone have a similar experience with the sims? That was miserable and I never want to do this again. And now we wait. And cry. And drink. And wait.

You never know until you see your score. I had 3 months to prepare and very nervous for Saturday. Good luck on score release!

Don't count yourself out this soon! I left prometric and almost cried in my car after taking FAR. I don't even remember the last time I cried! I ended up passing and got worked up over nothing. Not to mention the poor guy walking past my car in the parking lot probably thought I was cursing at him when it was to myself.

I left FAR feeling sick about the SIMS. I felt good on 2 out of 7. Somehow miraculously I passed. You really can't tell when you walk out of there how you really did on that thing! I gave myself 2 hrs for SIMS, used every second and could have used more time. Not sure it would have helped much but I sure would have kept searching for any help in the AL I could find.

    BEC - 02/21/15 - 82
    FAR - 05/29/15 - 82
    AUD - 07/09/15 - 93
    REG - 11/14/15 - 80

    All done!!!

Yeah I feel your pain. when I failed FAR, I just told everyone that I made a 10% and shouldn't have even attempted LOL. I was proud to have a 72 when my score came out. They curved my grade at least 50 points, I swear.

I probably failed BEC today. I flagged at least 8 per testlet. Oh god…this was more difficult than FAR.

I came out of FAR (both times) feeling destroyed by the SIMS. Besides the research question, the questions were so beyond what I prepared for, I just prayed. Both times, I got “Stronger” in the SIM section and til this day, I have no idea how..

    Best of luck to you!

Hey! Well, I just took my exam yesterday. I felt like you when I got to the SIMS. I was looking at the ones I got trying to choose one I knew, but I got stuck with stuff I didn't review that well (had 1 & 20 mins).

1st testlet: it was okay. Not super easy, but not hard. I managed to finish within 40 mins.

2nd testlet: took me freaking forever. This one was the hardest. I flagged a lot of questions, and I used up my budgeted time + 10 mins from my 3rd testlet.

3rd testlet: it was kind of hard, but not impossible hard as the 2nd one. Managed to finish within time.

So, I'm praying that what I did was enough for a 75. I don't want to study for FAR again. So, I'm starting to study for AUD next. Can't just wait around, but I'll have some drinks to relax in the meantime lol Let's try to be positive and hope we passed. Good luck!

    AUD- **F,F,F,** Retake TBD
    REG- Passed

I just took the exam yesterday and I'm right with you. I'm sure the anxiety will grow on a daily basis. There's always a glimmer of hope that I passed but highly doubtful. Good luck to you on score release.

All of your testlets were hard and you might have done better on Sims than you think. Don't break out the Sarah McLaughlin and razor blades just yet, you might be pleasantly surprised on score release day.

Hey cb. You described my experience exactly. I passed. Don't give up till the scores post. Start studying for the next exam to get your mind off of it.

That was my experience as well, and it was good for an 85.

I remember talking to a licensed CPA back when I was taking FAR about her exam experience. She said she was so sure she failed that when her boss asked how her test went the next day, she just broke down and cried. But she passed as well.

Honestly, I felt so bad after taking the first 2 that feeling good about BEC had me worried.

I also felt the same as you man. Like a ghost, wondering what went wrong in my studies and how the sims destroyed my self esteem. 2 weeks and I will find out if I pass FAR or not… Haha.
