    The biggest issue I have is neck pain from hours of sitting in front of the computer for homework. Definitely not good for my morale. What are some exercises I can do to combat the pain and lift my mood?

    Are you a guy or girl? I love yoga but I find mostly females go!

    yoga works well for me too, esp deep stretch classes. But when I need to seriously release some adrenaline and stress, then a brisk, hard walk or good jog / run helps……. a zumba class can be fun to throw in as well…….again, tends to be more girls but the guys that join dance to their own tune too!

    You may google “”desk / Office / Computer stretches” if you want specific stretches for your neck / back / arms, etc.

    Some people swear by chiropractors, but I only went once and the neck twist, pull, pop thing freaked me the freak out!

    Do you exercise regularly?…Free weights and stretching really helps to strengthen the neck.

    @govtec

    I like to take walks outside after a study session (elliptical is better than nothing but it's just not the same). Unfortunately the weather kept me inside today which is probably why I feel cranky and depressed. I do a little yoga from book diagrams but have never taken a class. How can I do weights in a way that stretch the neck? I did bicep curls one time after a particularly stiff day and pulled a neck muscle.

    bicep curls, lat pulls, running on treadmill, exercise band, sit ups…Those all contribute to strengthening the neck-shoulder muscle group. I do a lot of back stretches and cracking my neck throughout the day. Start slow with stretching and continue to add pounds.

    I practice yoga and I'm not afraid to admit it! I actually started doing it when I began my CPA process and I can honestly tell you that it has really helped with stress relief. Even just the breathing exercises seem to calm me down when I'm having a day.

    I do 45 minutes at Fit Body Booty Camp, 5-6 days a week! It helps keep studying stress free!
