I emphasize region because I know it can vary drastically from city to city.

    Mine:

EY: the stereotypical accountants, nerdy, some awkward

KPMG: bubbly, possibly drink the most, pretty normal all around

Deloitte: kind of like a fraternity, “bros”

PwC: pretty uptight, work more than the rest, very interested in your grades

    My region: NYC

EY: The one that parties the most, Eager and Young

Deloitte: Frat, lots of bros, looks like a ralph lauren catalog, Deloitte & Douche

PwC: All the sorority girls go there, Pretty Women Club

KPMG: The one that no one cares about, Keep Partners Money Growing

    F: 54 (4/13) 60 (4/14) 67 (9/14) 66 (10/14) 63 (11/15) 79 (2/16) PASSED
    A: 60 (5/13) 80 (4/16) PASSED
    R: 60 (7/13) 61 (2/15) 70 (4/15) 77 (7/15) PASSED
    B: (6/16)

It's been awhile, but when I graduated from undergrad:

Deloitte: Very serious and the most conservative, only serious accountants who want to move up in public need apply

EY: For those of who are using B4 to get into industry

PwC: Similar to Deloitte in culture, but not as conservative. Most prestigious in the region, everyone's #1 pick

KPMG: For those of who were rejected from the other 3. Only leftovers work here.

Deloitte – Somewhat serious. After students with highest grades. PWC – Super outgoing & friendly but also somewhat ditzy. Lots of hotter chicks with lower grades get in. KPMG – Has a frat culture going on. Lots of partying. EY – Friendly but most peoples last choice due to office size – super small.

    Philly

Deloitte – super uptight and no one actually wants to work there

EY – Most balanced. Not uptight and not to chill. Most people's number 1 pick.

KPMG – Not sure if they actually do any work. The partiers.

PWC – Pretty normal for the most part. Seems to have the best looking girls.

Norcal – Silicon Valley/ San Jose.

    it's been a while.. but:

PwC – All the “cool kids.” Frat culture, work hard, play hard. All the outgoing extroverts went here.

EY – Uptight, elitists. 4.0 GPA, Type A people. Most prestigious, most picky.

KPMG – Vanilla, boring, normal. They were the last to convert to electronic documentation. Old school.

Deloitte – Couldn't get into the above 3. Smaller, quieter bunch. Introverted. Everyone's last pick since they have the least amount of big clients.
