    Hello,

I am looking forward to take the admission for CAAP (certified advenced accounting program) program from Santa Clara university on F1 (as I am an international student), my question is, are the companies like big 4 easily sponsored H1 visa after the course?

Also, Is the certified program good enough to get a job or should I do master degree in accounting? Which would be more beneficial for future prospect?

Your reply would really help me.

    Thank you

    Shweta-

There is no way to tell if you will get H-1 visa sponsorship after you finish, bachelors, masters, cpa, phd and what ever else you want to accomplish.

It all comes down to job market, what is the firms need, who all applies, are they qualified enough to do the job and various other factors too are involved.

I would do is do some networking and find out first if firms will do h-1 visa sponsorship. Ask your friends, seek out to local cpa firms and see if they need people and go that way

    Hi Shweta,

Q1: are the companies like big 4 easily sponsored H1 visa after the course?

Big 4 does provide H1B sponsorship for international students. However, keep in mind that H1B candidates usually have to go through visa lottery process. So every candidate does not have 100% chance of getting H1B approval. But Big 4 will help you with lawyers, application process, etc. Except if you are Chilean or Singaporean, then you have higher chance of approval.

Q2: Is the certified program good enough to get a job or should I do master degree in accounting? Which would be more beneficial for future prospect?

I am not familiar with certified program (?), so I don't know. I have a master in accounting and did what mena je twa suggested. I increased my GPA, active in organization, and networked like it's my full time job.

    Passed
