A valid drivers license is all that is needed...paper and pencil will be provided to you prior to going into the test, and must be turned in to the test center after completing the exam. Everything else in your pockets goes into a locker. You can have nothing at all on you, including a watch or any other jewelry.
don't forget your thinking cap! well, so to speak, as a tangible cap probably wouldn't be allowed in the testing room...
TWO '2' FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION!!!
TWO '2' FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION !!!!
PLEASE LOOK ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF YOUR NTS!!!
You seriously don't want to get screwed and not seated if you don't meet this requirement. Every test center is different, I have been asked for one piece of id, and two pieces of i.d's some at the same testing center. Err, on the side of caution, even if they tell you its OK to bring 1 piece, bring 2, because the test center staff may be different...
Make sure your drivers license is not expired, mine was expired and didn't even know it....had to run home to get my passport, then they told me it didn't look like me but they would make an exception...I've gotten uglier over the years and lost most of my hair....lol
@NJTProadwarrior I was told that begining January 1, 2010, only 1 form of identification is now needed to sit for the CPA Exam. I agree it is best to bring too, just to be safe.
Also, make sure you dont forget your NTS....you will need it for your Launch code when you get in there.
That may be true, however on my NTS Rcv'd via e-mail 02/17/2010, "Take this NTS, along with TWO forms of identification, to the test center." (CAPS Added)
At a testing center in Northern N.J on 02/23/2010, I was requested to present 2 forms, which were my state d/l and passport... That way you abide by the terms on the NTS absolutely no questions, ifs ands or buts... This exam is no joke, and thankfully a personal hell is over with...
Also, bring the finger you registered with Prometric for subsequent examinations,, hey sh#& happens! : )
