What should I do during the final week for FAR? I have scheduled the exam for Friday, October 10, and I have scheduled that week off so I won’t have much distractions.

Go over your notes to refresh your memory, then take practice exam to determine your weak areas a week before. Focus on those weak areas in few days, also if you've been reading on the exam experience, you may probably get some tips on what's heavily tested, give extra attention to those as well. Then take another comprehensive test the day before your exam. I would also recommend to study at least 4 hours (if possible) during the final week to prepare your brain to function during the entire 4 hours of test. If you've already done SIMS in all topics, you don't have to worry about it during the final week. If you know the concept you should be able to answer them.

Good luck man. When I was scheduling the date, I was hoping for the 11th but unfortunately that day was already full.

Im in the same boat. My test in Monday Oct 13. We get all federal holiday off so it worked out perfectly! Thanks for the advise. Wish I could take the week off to study, but one of the woman in our office had a baby so no such luck! 🙁

Same boat too as I am getting tested on the weekend… I am just:

    a) doing the leftover MC that I have left for review (started review process last week),

    b) taking short notes on things that I need to memorize, while reviewing notes,

    c) mass practicing on simulations (I believe these are good for review, since they seem to test the details/exceptions of each topic or multiple topics at once. Plus it doesn't hurt if one of them show up on your test),

    d) pacing around while reciting things that I am trying to memorize, and

    e) eating some good food/treats.

I was able to push it back a day to October 11. The rescheduling fee is a small price to pay if it means I could get a few extra points to pass the darn thing.

Nice! Hopefully we can both pass. I am dreading FAR. REG wasn't so bad since I had worked a lot with taxes, but the material in FAR is overwhelming.

Holy cow Austin, how did you score 91 on REG? That is ridiculous, and how did you study? I'm having trouble getting ANYTHING down and have pushed off the tax subjects until I get done with the other stuff. There are so many terms and rules to remember, how should I attack this?

I had just finished an internship with taxes and so I studied for about two months full time (well about a month and a half since I traveled a bit), but I used Becker and wrote a LOT of flashcards. I also used NINJA audio and NINJA notes. I found the NINJA audio really helpful because it helped reinforce the concepts I had learned in Becker.

Needless to say I walked out of the exam thinking I had failed. You should have seen my reaction when I saw my score lol. Memorizing things has always come easy to me, so that really helped me on REG too.
