What do you miss most?

I feel like I have given up everything in my life, but I miss Netflix the most. I mean, the new Daredevil is out and I’m totally missing out. On the flip side, I deleted Facebook and am kind of enjoying having that out of my life. What does everyone else miss that they’ve had to give up to make time for studying?

I miss working out. I feel guilty when I am behind with my Becker schedule (always), and working out is the first thing to go. I also miss the feeling of being “done” for the day or for the weekend, and enjoying time off. Even when I take time off. I feel guilty about it.

Happy hours….I'm not a big drinker but I miss having a social life. Luckily, most of my friends understand and are counting down to the finish line with me.

I also miss cooking complete meals. I will not miss the process foods that I've been consuming lately.

Video games, most definitely. I've been wanting to play The Division BADLY, but couldn't find time to do it. I snuck in a couple of hours tonight, but that's because I studied until I wanted to puke today.

I miss the feeling of coming home after a long day and just being able to relax. Come home, eat dinner and just watch some television or play my games. Not anymore. Now I come home after a long day and must force myself to study.

I used to go to a baseball game every month.

I have not been to Dodger Stadium since 2013 and don't even remember the last Angels game. I cannot even watch the games. Radio is all I'm using right now.

Plan your studies out and you shouldn't have to stop everything in life.

I usually got my studying done early morning – afternoon. That way in the evening my wife and I could do whatever.

Worst part by far is working a 9-10 hour day and then coming home to have to put in another 2 hours of studying. And literally not having a weekend. And making my wife have to suffer. The list can go on and on.

Err…CPA exam is not that hard. It's just boring. I guess I miss interesting forum posts because this one is a drag.

Probably Happy Hour, then working out. I say that because i still squeeze in workouts, but not as many as i want to, as im usually facing a library vs gym dilemma. I don't think i could quit social media or TV tho…thats probably my problem.

@mayo I am glad that you don't find the exam material difficult, you are very fortunate. I have not been blessed with your superior intelligence and thus I find I have to work very hard to have a shot at passing the exam. I look forward to all of the interesting forum post threads you begin!

Maybe I'm just odd but I really didn't feel like I was missing out on much. Being 3 years out of school before taking my first test and not having to contend with a busy season helped too I would guess.

If you make good use of your study time there is no need to study so much that you miss out on life. Sure you might have to sacrifice the all night netflix binge or happy hour a couple of times. but if you don't give yourself a break to have fun occasionally during studying you will most likely perform worse.
