What does getting the exact same SIM twice mean?

I first took and failed Audit on 11/30/11. I just got back from taking Audit again and one of my SIMs was *exactly* the same as the SIM on my previous test. It was even in the same order as my first test, too: the 7th and final question. I remember clearly because I did poorly on it the first time and made a point to study over that specific topic rigorously before my second test.

I’ve been thinking, and it seems to me that if this were to happen it indicates that the repeat question has to be a pre-test question, right? I figure they must be tracking the MCQ and SIMs they have already given a candidate, but perhaps with the pre-test questions they don’t. Or did I just get really really lucky and got a chance to redeem myself (which I did, totally nailed it this time)?

So I'm thinking it's the opposite. It was pre-test the first time, and this second time it was an operational SIM. Because pre-test are used for later exams. Lucky!!!!!

I also through rejected pretests would not be in future exams, and probably released in AICPA released questions.

That happened to me on my 1st and second AUD attempt as well… I also think if it's repeated…it was NOT a pre-test. Good thing you got to redeem yourself!

I had never thought of it from that angle… that would be awesome!! I just figured they may be testing it over multiple windows.
