I’m the first time applicant and I was wondering if anyone know what happens if I send the transcript first and then apply.

I request all my transcripts to be sent to NASBA but I’m waiting to apply because I haven’t receive my payroll yet (disaster!!).

Since I requested a week ago, I guess my transcript has already arrive at NASBA.

So I’m getting a little anxious because I know they will lose, misfile, or don’t care about transcript until I pay.

But I was wondering if anyone know anything about similar situation.

    Thank you!

Not the same – but I had transcripts under different names since I got married before receiving my MBA. I disclosed my maiden name on the application, but they still sent me an email after about a week saying they were waiting on my transcripts. I responded with the necessary information, and had the approval back within a day.

So my advice is that if they do misplace/misfile/lose the transcript(s), you will hopefully receive an email from the Board about the situation. Or, you could shoot them an email after you submit the application to make sure that everything is taken care of. I don't know what state you're in, but the Illinois Board has been extremely helpful and communicative.

    CPAwannabe,

Nothing bad happens. I sent my transcripts 6 months before I got around to applying. After you submit your application, just give them a call a couple of days later and make sure they have everything they need from you. I had no issues, they still had my transcripts.

Thank you very much for your reply!

It's such a good thing to heard.

I actually applied on the weekend and I will give them a call to check on transcripts. Thank you!
