All i could say is the people that are all there do not want to be there. Alot of the people do not want to go back to school for a career change so they stay and be miserable. (wake up you got one life to live get out if do not want to be here or you do not like accounting which i do find people hating after 2 years).I know several people made a career change because they wanted to make a difference. one went to medical school, nurse. Also, time sheet is a joke, It like a tracking system for them to keep a watch on us. Hey we are not kids. Change the system already. I truely believe that many do not know what accountants go through and when they go through it themselves they totally are disgusted with it and it a turn off. I think the blame goes to alot of the CPA firms that sales how good the public accounting professions is when in trueth it stinks.

tracking time creates inventory which is then billed to clients to generate revenue (i.e. the lifeblood of the business). that system is never going to change. Not for CPAs, attorneys, or many other businesses

I didn't love it, but there are still things I miss about it.

I miss the team environment. I worked in public accounting for just under 3 years and felt like I knew my co-workers better than I did after 5 years in industry. I think it was the intense nature and the fact that you work closely to get the jobs completed. We are improving our team environment now, but still in public accounting, I had A LOT in common with my co-workers versus now, not as much.

I don't miss the stress and crazy deadlines. I don't miss being on a new client every week. I don't miss traveling around to different clients all the time and being away from home (although the per diems and eating out at cool restaurants was fun).

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
