I’m pretty sure I passed two sections of the CPA exam, graduated college and am making LESS than I made when I was 16. I don’t know if its just me or the economy. Starting to lose motivation.

I could seriously make a page long thread on whats wrong with the accounting industry alone, let alone the whole world. I am so frustrated tonight…..accounting is bullshit. Should have stayed in pilot school, or even engineering. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say fuck you *** ******, director of HR. You are a dirty scum bag and dont deserve your position. Its a shame no one else will say it being afraid of losing their jobs!

Sorry for venting, some of you are lucky to work in smaller towns and away from the egotistical and corrupt professionals of larger city offices (nyc, miami). Words cannot express my emotion right now.

Honestly, I started working at Wal-mart to pay for car insurance and its jsut TERRIBLE. I mean come on I used to work at a bank when I was 16. Wtf is wrong with this world. I'm all for the people and making their money, but let's face it, we all got screwed by these dirty sociopathic lenders who wanted to make a quick buck and borrowers who lived above their means. Its so sad that our generation is suffering cause of them.

You're settling working for Walmart. Sure, the economy certainly is contributing to it, but there are jobs out there. If you're qualified and personable, you can get them. I hate to be harsh, but I see an extremely large amount of people on this website complaining about having no job (at least, you have one). The extremely likely reason qualified accountants (especially those with CPAs!) can't get a job is that they are not very personable and thus don't get successfully through the interview process when the job was, in fact, available.

I challenge you to read “FINANCIAL CRISIS INQUIRY COMMISSION: DISSENTING STATEMENT” by Peter Wallison. https://fcic-static.law.stanford.edu/cdn_media/fcic-reports/fcic_final_report_wallison_dissent.pdf

This report is nearly 100 pages long, but it's a great read. It explains how the lenders were pressured to make the risky loans and the biggest culprits, Fannie and Freddie, have been left un-reformed. There is plenty of blame to go around, but mostly you can thank Congressman Barney Frank. I believe it also says that President Bush tried and/or wanted to make changes, but Dems in control would have not of that. Anyway, read the report and let me know what you think.

    And see what's coming soon………..

    https://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2012/07/24/wall-street-foreclosures/

Now investment companies are buying foreclosed house, renting them and waiting for the market to go up to sell them with a profit……..and we “the poor people” cannot get a foreclosed home approved because those with money are bringing cash to the table.

    Done 😉
