I’m currently working part time when studying for this monster of an exam. I work 20 hours per week. However, I would still say that work is a joke compared to studying. I’d say that studying for 5 hours makes me much more tired than working a full day.

Thoughts?

totally agree with Casagarber

My husband is the one who does: grocery shopping, house cleaning, taking care of the baby all evenings-nights-mornings-weekends, cooking.. laundry.. the list can go on and on. Btw, he also works full time. I don't remember when was the last time we spent an evening/weekend together ((((

I would say working, studying, and parenting are all equally exhausting. Thank goodness my husband is so supportive and more than willing to pick up all the slack around. He works full time and like julia_anika he does the grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. I take care of the kids after work because he usually works nights and has days off during the week when I'm at work and the kids are at the grandparent's house. He does all the house stuff then. It's working well, but it is getting old. Like two ships passing in the night. Oh well–It will be over soon enough. Sorry–that kind of went beyond what your question was. I think studying is mentally exhausting, working is just draining because you feel like a babysitter most of the time, and parenting is usually emotionally and physically exhausting.

I would say work is more tiring than studying but at least I can escape from it on weekends. With studying its an everyday thing. Couldn't do it without my fiance. Significant others should get some sort of medal when their candidate gets their license.

I guess it really depends on what kind of job you have, but in my opinion, studying is mentally draining and when the mind doesn't want to work, no longer does the body.

I find studying to be far more exhausting than working. I can easily stay at work until 2am and not think twice about it. I get in a zone and it's fine. With studying it's a constant battle to remain focused. I hate it.

Parenting is, by far, the most exhausting (but by far the most rewarding) of the 3 activities mentioned in this thread :).
