What state can you get a CPA license without accounting work experience?

Is there any? I do not work for any CPA’s to sign off and I do not work in accounting.

In MA you don't need experience but you do need a masters degree or higher if you don't have 1 year attest experience.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

IMO Colorado has the best deal right now. Check the education in lieu of experience option. But this option CLOSES in July, 2015 as all states move toward a more Universal rule (I think it's called the 3 E's – education, exam & experience?). In July, 2015 Colorado will no longer have an “education in lieu of experience” option, so act soon!!!!!

As MLA knows, Massachusetts offers a non-reporting CPA license. It's not just 150credits you need for that but an actual graduate degree (I.e. Taking an extra 30cr after a bachelors wont do it)

I'd like to think I'm an expert on this because I myself used to hold a Massachusetts non reporting license, and before I moved to Colorado, I was able, much to my surprise, to obtain a Colorado CPA license (full privileges ) through reciprocity with a non reporting Massachusetts license. This may not work after July, 2015. I checked numerous times with NASBA to make sure this was OK. I guess I lucked out in that it just so happens that both of the 50states I chose to go to school for and then live and practice in may the only jurisdictions out there with a no experience option 🙂
