Our value does not come from our skills and abilities, as good as they may be; it does not come from our GPA, our job, a promotion from that job to a better job, our success on the CPA exam, or anything of the like; but our value comes from the fact that we have a Creator who loves us, cares for us, and desires to help us navigate the rough waters of this life in a way that provides security, hope, and true, everlasting joy while we anticipate the life to come, with Him.

When you scheduled your exam you should have received an email with confirmation for your exam. If you scroll at the bottom it lists in detail on what to bring to your exam and also the prometric rules. I would suggest reading through that information to be familiar with what is expected.

The 3 most important are 2 forms of ID even though I have only been asked to show one form of ID and your printed NTS. They will not let you take your test if you dont provide a copy of your NTS.

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
    AUD - 1/6/18
    FAR - TBD
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

Yes, definitely bring 2 forms of ID (although, like Rugger, I've only ever had to show 1) and your NTS.

When I walk in the door to a Prometric center, all I have is my NTS, IDs, and car keys. Everything else stays in my car. I suggest wearing comfortable clothes…I usually dress in layers, because you never know what the temp will be like inside…and I don't wear my watch or any jewelry (they will make you remove watches/big jewelry).

I bring my own ear plugs with the cord cut off to leave the nubs. Especially in the wintertime, there's always one jerk sniffling or coughing his face off. If you're like me, that will annoy you to no end.

I know they have those headphones, but I'm not a) gonna put something someone else has worn on my head like that b) they look uncomfortable as hell. I can't imagine 4 hours of FAR with those rickety things on my head. No thanks.

They'll take a look at them and have you put them in a tissue before you take them back with you.

    Caffeine and confidence.

I'm a morning person, big time, for my FAR exam (on 1/5) I scheduled for the 8am test. The morning of the exam I got up (at my normal time, 3:30am) drank coffee, ate breakfast, watched the news and played with my dog for a bit. Left the house at 6:15ish with a Mt. Dew and sipped on it on the way to Starbucks. Got to Starbucks, drank more coffee and reviewed all of the printed SIMs from Becker that I thought were the most inclusive (especially J/Es). Left Starbucks at 7:15 and drove to Prometric while finishing the Mt. Dew. Got to the test center at 7:30ish, went to the restroom, and got signed in for the exam, went back to the exam room at 7:45ish (with every intention of a 99) and put on the noise cancelling headphones which transferred me into THE ZONE. Next thing I know I'm done with the 3 MCQ testlets (1 hour 15 minutes) and have ran into a brick wall of SIMs (absolute train wreck). So I spend the next 3 hours working through the SIMs trying to make sure I can answer each one to get each point possible and using the AL to look up a certain formula I was struggling with. Next thing I know I am sitting in my car absolutely shivering either from the potential caffeine overdose or mind numbing SIM experience. All I know is that when I was taking the exam I was in THE ZONE, completely focused.

I don't recommend anyone abuse caffeine the way I did before that exam but it's always helped keep me focused (I'm not a ritalin kind of person). Needless to say, if I passed FAR I will be doing THE EXACT same thing on AUD test day.

I always take my NTS, Appointment confirmation, two forms of ID (but never needed to show the second one), and a cheat sheet with my formulas or notes, just in case you are made to weight. Oh and I always carry a banana and shovel it down my throat before I enter the center. I am never able to eat well or sleep the night before, So I always make it a point to eat at least a snack bar when I start from home and a banana before I enter to fuel my brain which helps me focus. I also sip in some hot water before going in, this helps me with the thirst. And if you tend to easily get tension head aches a couple of your favorite pills will help you too. I always find that the center is too cold, so I dress warm, and ensure my feet are warm. Else the tension causes my hand and feet to turn so cold, it is uncomfortable. I never take any breaks for 3 hour exams and always take a quick break before the sims for the 4 hour exams. Good luck with your exam day.

NTS & ID of course. Then water, snacks, and any medication you may need. I always take a break after I finish my multiple choice section. I usually just drink water, take my medicine, and chew some gum. And of course use the restroom. Then back to the simulations. Try not to let wrong answers get to you. They were really getting to me in Audit to the point where I had to give myself a pep talk just to start the simulations (Something like what's done is done, let's focus on these SIMS now, get points where you can).

Just remember positive self talk- it can be very important on some exams.
