    I just receieved my score for FAR….73. I sat for FAR two weeks ago. Since then I’ve started watching the lectures for BEC. I finished 2 chapters and I’m a little over 1/4 into chapter 3. I have Roger’s cram for FAR and it expires mid-January. Should I stop were I’m at with BEC and go back to FAR? After FAR start over with BEC? I don’t know what to do!! What would you do?

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

    I would stop BEC and go back to FAR! There is no reason to start a new topic when you are so close to FAR. I moved around from test to test in the beginning and it cost me almost a year. You can do this! Just go back to FAR and keep doing those mcqs!

    FAR- 63, 75
    AUD- 61, 78
    REG- 63, 74, 80
    BEC - 63, 61, 75!!!!! I'm done!!!!

    This is just me but I would go back to FAR. If the stuff is relatively fresh in your mind, you'll have an easier time studying and things should make more sense this time around. But I would study just as if you made a 50. Cover everything again. Then revisit BEC once you pass FAR.

    I'm sorry about your score. I know what it feels like to not pass. Keep your chin up and stay positive and focused.

    I used CPAexcel during this process b/c it never expires, which is really awesome. Everything gets updated until you pass.

    AUD - 83
    FAR - 78
    BEC - 76
    REG - 86 PTL!!!!!

    Used CPAExcel & Wiley testbank (awesome by the way)

    @JoMarie

    I think you got some good advice. I think I am going to take the same advice since we are in the same boat and start with Audit then go back to REG. So ka-ching ka-ching. I will move my REG exam date to February, and let my REG cram expire, and try to buy a new testbank. I just can't see using Wiley and Becker again though.

    So sorry to hear your news, I wish it were different. 🙁 But like gms361 and swancpa said, stay positive you can do this!!

    @Jomarie

    I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass. I had hoped you wouldn't need to re-study this.

    I agree with the others and feel you should go back to FAR. Although you've covered some ground with BEC, it's “only” a couple of chapters so far, and you have that material for FAR expiring, and FAR is still relatively fresh in your mind.

    However you decide to do this, I hope you pass these exams next window and can finally be done with this studying!

    @JoMarie – I am so sorry, I am in the same boat, I didn't pass FAR. I was at first going to tackle AUD and FAR at the same time but my husband and I had a talk and I am going go back to FAR and focus on that. I will re-take it the first of January. We can beat this beast!!!!

    so sorry to hear your news! your plan is probably a good idea. In the past, I have jumped around, and I think it wasn't the smartest thing. Keep it going, you can do this. See you on the power thread. We all have to push each other, it will be a little gnarly studying thru the holidays 😉

    @JoMarie, oh DARN IT!!! I hate to see those score that are in the 70-74 range. That is so horrible that the AICPA would give those score out… So sorry!!! I would definitely stop BEC and go back to FAR since you were so close. Keep your head up and stay strong, you will conquer that beast next window… I am sure of it.

    BEC-Passed
    AUD-Passed
    REG-Passed
