I noticed that there are some interesting usernames in this site. Some of you may have kept it simple and there’s some of us who are quite creative. Thought I start a thread on this as it would be interesting to read the story behind the names. I will start first.

My username “supervisor” means only one thing…I need my CPA to get promoted to SUPERVISOR. I know, that wasn’t so creative.

    BEC 10/13 PASSED 77
    AUD 04/12 PASSED 83
    FAR 08/12 PASSED 76
    REG 02/13 PASSED 76

Licensed in PA on 12/23/13. Yea boy!!

At my old firm we would see who stayed the latest the night before and call them a “robot”. I started getting called “littlenumberrobot”. It was so fitting then. Now I just have the name to remind me of the late night memories.

Back when I was a wayward young'n lacking specific direction, I embarked on what I thought would be a short journey just to get my 2 year degree (an applied degree in accounting, which means very few credits transfer to a 4 year university). I obtained that working full time and schooling full time, even during tax seasons, as I was working at a small family business at the time. Shortly thereafter, I got a job at a large company that offered tuition reimbursement. 4 years later, i had finally accumulated enough credit hours to graduate with my Bachelors degree. That was back in 2005…2 years later in 2007 after talking about the CPA forever but not doing anything about it, I decided to take the leap. I started studying for FAR but my step-father passed away in the midst of my studies and it changed my focus (i.e. gave me a reason to quit). Then after thinking often about “getting back on the CPA horse” I got a job with a local private company. One of their requirements was that their higher-up accounting positions be a licensed CPA, so they were willing to pay for someone to get licensed if they found the right candidate.

The cliff notes version…my username represents my quest which began in 1999 and will hopefully come to an end today or Monday with the latest score release! (crossing everything I can in hopes that I can get a 75+)

Gatorbates: I'm a life long Gator fan and alumn, and my last name is Bates. Figured it'd be “cleaner” than my other lifelong nickname: Master.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

Explaining this will be showing my age, but I'm a child of the 80's and of course Desperately Seeking Susan with Madonna is a cult classic, so that's where the first part of my name comes from.

So one day my brother-in-law asks me what type of guy I'm looking for, since I'm still single. Anyhow, I tell him the traits/qualities I'm looking for and that on top of that I would like him to be my ethnicity. Realizing how what I described most likely doesn't exist, I exclaimed, I'm looking for a Chupacabra!

    Hence Desperately Seeking Chupacabra.

It was my doctor's name when I was in Japan. I dropped the letter “r” in the abbreviation Dr., and I spelled it backwards.

    DONE!!!

It is related to the late nights studying, being a nervous wreck at the prometric site (i.e shaking off my seat, fingers missing keyboard, still more nervous wreck while waiting on scores (try not to look at any two digit numbers that could reflect your score i.e license plate of car in front of you) and heart stopping moment when check the score and it “pops up”.The crazy scores you get when you think I nailed it. Except for FAR (always completed 3 SIMS….6-9 liners questions and mini novels for SIMS) and when you get the final pass you feel soooooo relieve……its over.

Glad I am never going through that again.

My name is derived from my condition as a peculiar individual of Finnish extraction.

Why was there bacon in the soap?!

BEC 4/19/2013: 79 - the "easiest" one doesn't mess around lol
AUD 11/13/12: 90...NOT SURE IF SRS

FAR 8/18/12: 81 MOFOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (srsly thought I failed lolol)

Passed all 4 on the first try using Roger, NINJA Notes for FAR, and NINJA Audio for REG & BEC.

I must have felt politically inspired when I created my username. Politics is a sport in itself for me. I get involved and volunteer for local candidate campaigns when I can.

The only problem is that I am in the minority party in my state. A Democrat in a Republican state. There is a bumper sticker you see around town “Blue Girl, Red State.”

For two reasons I have this username:

    1. My manager jokes that the website is filled with forever alones.

    2. I work full time so I had to sacrifice my nightlife and activities with friends in order to completely focus on the exam, while I constantly see everybody on facebook having fun.

Hence Forever Alone. Hopefully I can finish the CPA exams quickly and get my life back before everybody gets married.

I listened to a lot of rap in high school and still do. Cash Money Records, son.

I use the name as my 360 Gamertag as well.
