When can I expect to receive an offer from KPMG for an experienced hire?

I had an office visit on Tuesday. The interview went very well. The partner said they are really in need of people like me and I can expect to be promoted to senior next July. Before I left, he asked me if I would accept the offer if they want me. I gave him the positive answer. Then when I got home, I sent the partner a thank you letter. He replied saying hope to talk to you soon. I think I will get the job. But it has been three business days and I haven’t heard back from them. Is this normal? Am I being too paranoid? Anyone had the same situation before?

I wouldn't sweat it. I know some KPMG recruiters. They have told me that sometimes it can take up to a few months to move on a position. It really depends on the need. SGIs (strategic growth hires) can take a while.

KPMG (and most likely the rest of the big 4) can be very anticipatory in their hiring. I wouldn't bug out until you hear otherwise.

Do you remember what questions you were asked during your interview?
