    Hey

I thought I read somewhere that you could not schedule for a re-take immediately after receiving the score?

So, say I fail one section in November, and want to re-take it in January (i.e. another test window). Can I schedule the re-take immediately following the score release early December?

Usually 48 hours after your score release you can apply for a new NTS.

You have to restart your app with the state board.

No you only need a new NTS then to schedule with prometric. Even if your NTS has an expiration date months away you essentially force an early expiration of the NTS. It is not necessary to restart an application.

Ah. How long would it normally take to get a new NTS in early Dec?

Could I get a new NTS even though my old one has not yet expired i.e. I have not yet received the scores for the section I failed?

I am wondering since I have to book cross-Atlantic flights for my exams and will receive my score on 8 December. If I fail, I need to book a flight then immediately before prices go up, for early Jan.

I think how long a new NTS takes depends on the state you're testing through but usually a couple of days. No, unfortunately you can't get a new one until after score release. If you get your scores on a Monday you can usually apply for a new NTS by Wednesday of that week.
