Yeah I'm curious about that too. I passed my first exam back on 10/13/09, and just passed the final section on 4/29/11. I have something that says that first test expires on 4/30/11 - does that make sense? I just wanted to make sure I was actually done, is there any way to check that

they give you 18 months from the date you SAT for and passed the exam, and they round up to the end of that month.
example:
took/sat for FAR on February 2nd, 2010 & passed -> credit expires August 31st, 2011
Your expiration date of your exam depends on your state. You need to verify the expiration date with your state. Some states it is 18 months from the date you sit for the exam or 18 mos from the last day of the month you sit for the exam. Either way it is never 18 months from the date you get your score. I am from Indiana and our state the exams expired 18 months from the last day of the month you took the exam for example if I took the exam on 5 Apr 2009 then our exam expired 31 Oct 2010. It just depends on your state check with your board to be sure what the rules are.

Note to all: They show no mercy when it comes to the 18month rule. If you get a medical illness or some kind of other hardship, the 18month rule applies without exceptions. Also, this testing window we dealt with having to wait extra long for our scores, and despite this there is no exception to the 18months expiration if you took some exams in late 2009/early 2010. The only exception I can think of is maybe the last window to pass your last test your test was cancelled at Prometric due to snow storm. Then you might be able to schedule it for the next window and thus get a slight extension to 18mos

@cpaforaday - You got lucky in that you passed your final section a day before your first section expired. If you had passed your final section on 5/1/2011, you would have lost credit for your first passed section. Congratulations btw!
