I know this is very subjective, just wanted to hear your thoughts as to why. List the other exams if you wish. So far for me REG has been most challenging.

It depends. Which do you hate more? I don't care for taxes so the tax part of REG is not going to be easy for me. But, I do enjoy law so that part I won't have a problem with. I love financial accounting so FAR is my easiest.

    REG - 78
    FAR - 79
    AUD - 76
    BEC - 75

I have been on this journey off and on for over 10 years. I think it's about time that I wrap this up.

    AUD - 10/21/16 (75----07/2010 expired)
    FAR - 10/28/16
    BEC - 11/2016
    REG - 01/2017

    backusjo,

Looking at your scores, i think you will pass the REG section as well. My experience was worth with REG because i did not do well on the SIMs. MCQs were okay and I finished them with the feeling that I answered at least 80% questions correctly. I even had plenty of time for the SIMs but sure that I did not do it well.

Well, good luck with your score this Tuesday. I was so anxious to see my scores (both FAR and REG) even though I think I may fail REG. Please let us know when you pass the REG and start to celebrate your hard work.

    BEC 91 (01/06/13)
    REG 91 (01/24/13)
    FAR 86 (02/10/13)
    AUD 93

    Feel so close 😀

You love FAR? You def made me smile when you said that. I have a buddy who always discounts my CPA studying as “curling up with a good book.” And I seem to have trouble with tax basis transactions. I understand them, just all the little rules and variances tend to throw me off, but knowing this I am focusing on it pretty hard. I don't work in tax, so it's just a lot to learn. But your def the first person to say FAR is the easiest for them. Good luck. Congrats on the BCS win too.

THanks for the vote of confidence. I don't take the test till the 26th, but I'm hoping I can squeak out one last victory. Then I'll celebrate by maybe having a social life once again. But on the other hand the studying has gotten me out of a lot of wife's friends and other social events I don't want to attend. I don't care who's bday it is ! 🙂

Anyway we'll keep in touch, I'll post my REG experience in here. Good luck to you as well!

I think reading tax is actually harder but the multiple choice questions are harder if that makes any sense.

    F: 76 8/31/13 Wiley Test Bank
    A: 77 11/4/13 Wiley Test Bank
    R
    B

    MBA 06/2012 - ?

When I took the exam the first time in 2010, I left the test center on the fence. I wasn't sure if I passed but I knew I hadn't done horribly either. I passed with a 75 but I would have done better than that if I hadn't just been laid off my job the week prior to that. I was exhausted and depressed all at the same time but I made it. I'm confident I can do it again. By the time I got to REG, I didn't care because I was burned out. I took it because I had already paid for it and I bombed with a 42 I think. That's why I am taking REG last because I don't even want to deal with the tax section. But, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Funny thing is, I already have my bookkeeping business and once I get my license, I will probably just convert it to a CPA business. Then, I will start doing taxes again…lol. I guess I'm a bit of a masochist.

I am hoping people are going to tell us how much harder FAR is compared with REG. I am starting to study for REG in a week, so it would be nice to know that I already beat a more intense exam.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
