Anyone else using Wiley Test Bank for FAR? How does it compare to the real thing as far as difficulty?
I have the same question. I am using Becker 2009 and have not get to Wiley at all. I don't think I have time to do all topics on Wiley. Some topics on Wiley test bank has 100+ MCQs. Could anyone recommend "must do" topics? Thanks.
The little known secret is that most prominent CPA review course software/books get their questions from the exact same place: they license them from the AICPA.
Does that mean that scoring in the mid 80s which is where I have been scoring for the past 3 practice exams means I should be ok? Or where should I be as far as practice scores, obvious higher is better, but only so much I can do in the next 5 days.
@ gabe1475 - Wiley says to aim for 80%...Yaeger (which uses Wiley books) says the same thing. So it seems like you are doing okay :-)
I would like to note one thing...I would make sure you are continuously scoring above 80% and you make sure that you really understand all the questions...the ones scored correct and incorrect. Don't assume you are doing okay if you score an 85% bc you made good guesses on some Q's and remembered the answer on others. I studied audit with Becker and used the Wiley final exam for extra practice. I scored over 80% on my practice exams............................................
Continuously scoring 80-85%. If I don't know the answer, I actually write it down to look it up later (in case I get it right). Today I got a test where there were several tricky questions and only managed a 78%, this is the only one out of the past 7 exams where I was below 80%. Hope I am ready, only have another two days to study.
Maybe try a few quizzes through study mode.
I do all my quizzes in study mode, that way I can read the explanations to right/wrong as I go along.
Just my 2 cents.
The reason I prefer not to do that is the explanation may help me get a question later on, and I prefer the results to be as close to reality as possible. Also prefer the questions to be random. I do prefer study when tackling a topic that need work.
